Podswarm Privacy Policy
Podswarm is developed and operated by New River Codeworks LLC (“we”, “us”), an independent software company registered in Virginia, USA.
This policy is short because Podswarm collects very little.
No account, no sign-in
Podswarm does not have accounts. You never provide a name, email address, password, or any profile information. Your game progress is stored only on your device. If you delete the app, your progress is deleted with it.
Information collected automatically
Podswarm includes two categories of third-party software that collect limited information automatically.
Advertising (Google AdMob). Podswarm shows ads. Google AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier, IP address (which implies coarse location, such as country), and information about your device and ad interactions, in order to serve and measure ads. Depending on your consent choice, ads are either personalized or non-personalized. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data from apps.
Analytics and crash reporting (Google Firebase). We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand anonymous usage — for example, which levels are too hard and how long sessions last — and to diagnose crashes. This involves device information, coarse location derived from IP address, and anonymous usage and diagnostic events. This data is not tied to your identity, because Podswarm has no accounts.
We do not collect, and cannot access: your name, email, contacts, photos, files, precise location, microphone, or camera.
Your choices and consent
- Ad consent. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a U.S. state with an applicable privacy law, Podswarm shows a consent screen (Google’s User Messaging Platform) before ads initialize. You can change your choice at any time in the game’s settings, under Privacy.
- Reset your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings › Google › Ads).
- Opt out of personalized ads in your device settings or through the in-game consent options.
- Remove Ads purchase. Podswarm offers a one-time purchase that removes interstitial advertising. Optional rewarded ads remain available by choice.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. Purchase state — for example, whether Remove Ads is owned — is stored on your device and with Google Play.
Children
Podswarm is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us and we will help.
Data retention and deletion
Game progress lives only on your device, and deleting the app deletes it. Advertising and analytics data are retained by Google under Google’s retention policies. Because Podswarm has no accounts, we hold no personal data about you that we could look up or delete on request. Identifier-level choices, such as resetting your advertising ID, are available in your device settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app’s update notes.
